Students are offered the opportunity to work one-to-one with a teacher, small student groups and writing professionals in effort to enhance their understanding writing conventions and to develop their own style. Members are encouraged to refine their work to meet publishing standards so that work can be regularly submited to the College, New Zealand College Herald as well as National and international writing competitions. Members of the club are currently busy crafting pieces of work for the NZ Post Poetry and Lyrics competition, College Herald, Sunday Times Short Story Competition, BNZ Katherine Mansfield Award and RSNZ Humanities Essay Writing competition.
